2 Forming

Preparation of Working Clay The purpose of wedging is to free air bubbles and keep the clay uniform consistency in moisture for forming.

Clay is wedged with fingers and the heel of hand in a rocking spiral motion or cow head. Pressure mostly came from the heel of the hand; most of time the fingers are served as support or guide the direction of clay movement.

Keep the rocking spiral motion until there is no air bubbles and the clay mositure is evenly.
