Crackle Glaze

Crackle Glaze is the result of expansion and contraction between the glazing costing and the clay body, which creates a crackling effect. The crackle glaze is better to be used on high-fried pot such as stoneware or porcelain, which prevent porous pot body for food or liquids.

Matte Glaze is created by adding the right amount of alumina or barium carbonate. There are also crystalline glazes, salt glazes, luster glazes, raku glaze, and ash…etc. would be introduced later on.
