2 Forming

Preparation of Working Clay The purpose of wedging is to free air bubbles and keep the clay uniform consistency in moisture for forming.

Clay is wedged with fingers and the heel of the hand in a rocking spiral motion or cow head. Pressure mostly came from the heel of the hand; most of the time the fingers are served as support or guide the direction of clay movement.

Keep the rocking spiral motion until there are no air bubbles and the clay moisture is even.
